The Southern Group is deepening its healthcare bench in Tallahassee.
Erica Floyd Thomas is joining the firm as a partner, bringing more than two decades of experience in Florida’s Medicaid and behavioral health systems.
Thomas most recently served as Chief of Staff at the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), where she helped oversee the agency and several major state healthcare initiatives.
Her work included Florida’s Rural Health Transformation Program, which targets 31 rural counties and approximately 1.2 million Floridians.
“Erica has spent her career at the center of some of the most consequential health care policy and programmatic decisions in Florida,” said Rachel Cone, Senior Managing Partner of The Southern Group. “Her experience at AHCA and DCF gives her an exceptional understanding of how health care policy is developed, funded, and implemented.”
