Javier De Jesus Vazquez was born and raised in Miami, Florida, and comes from a Cuban family. He attended The Honors College at Miami Dade College Padron Campus, where he grew his passion for Political Science. By interning with the Marco Rubio for Senate Campaign and the Institute for Civic Engagement and Democracy, Javier worked in teams to organize and execute tasks aimed at increasing political engagement. After transferring to Georgetown University and interning with The National Review Institute, he remains an active student of the political process by majoring in Government. His experience interning at the Office of Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart provided insight into the legislative and appropriations operations. Javier is bilingual in English and Spanish, and his scholarly interests include national security and technology policy.
