Marisa Campbell joined The Southern Group in 2026, bringing experience at the highest levels of congressional leadership and federal health policy. Most recently, she spent two years at Polsinelli, where she advised clients on navigating Congress and federal agencies to advance complex legislative and regulatory priorities. Her work has focused on next-generation health care innovation, including AI-enabled diagnostics, digital health, telehealth, women’s health, preventive care, and longevity science.
Previously, Marisa served in the Office of the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives under Nancy Pelosi, including as a Floor Manager. As part of the Speaker’s floor team, she helped manage the daily legislative operations of the House, coordinating floor logistics and vote strategy, while working closely with leadership offices, committees, and members of Congress. This experience provided her with a deep understanding of House procedure and the legislative process.
Over the course of her career, Marisa has worked across Capitol Hill, a leading national trade association, and Am Law 100 firms, giving her a comprehensive understanding of how policy is developed, shaped, and implemented. She brings a cross-sector perspective spanning health care, technology, privacy, and energy, enabling her to anticipate regulatory and political dynamics, align stakeholders, and develop practical, forward-looking strategies.
Marisa earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, where she double majored in Philosophy and Spanish Language and Literature, and her law degree from American University Washington College of Law. Originally from Michigan, she now resides in Arlington, Virginia, with her husband, Lang.
