Chris Hagan joined The Southern Group’s Jacksonville team in 2020.
Chris has more than 10 years of experience in government relations and represents clients throughout Florida before municipal councils. Chris covers issues that range from multimillion-dollar economic development projects to local construction and development permitting. Chris also specializes in creative solutions for private clients in the fields of economic development and government relations to help them achieve their business goals and create new jobs.
Chris began his career working for a residential developer as a project manager where he assisted in developing residential subdivisions. Chris then moved over to the Northeast Florida’s Builder Association (NEFBA) as a governmental affairs director for three years. Chris also previously handled all government affairs and municipal contracts for Advanced Disposal for the state of Florida and Southeast Georgia. Chris served on the Jacksonville Planning Commission from 2012-2017 and two years as Chairman (2014-2016). Most recently Chris served on the Charter Revision Commission for the City of Jacksonville.
Chris attended Brevard College in North Carolina where he played soccer for two years and later transferred to Flagler College where he graduated in 2005 with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Economics.
Chris is a lifetime member of Leadership Florida (Connect Class X). Chris currently resides in Jacksonville with his wife, Rebekah, and three kids (Gavin, Graham, and Fore). On the weekends you can find him spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, or playing golf.
