Brian Darling joins TSG Advocates with decades of senior-level experience in legislative strategy, communications, and advocacy on behalf of U.S. clients in Washington, D.C. He has served in top roles for five U.S. Senators and directed strategic communications at one of the nation’s leading think tanks, offering clients a deep understanding of how to navigate Congress, the media, and the federal regulatory landscape.

Over the course of his career, Brian built and led a government relations firm, further strengthening his expertise in public affairs and federal advocacy. Earlier, he served as Chief Counsel to Senator Bob Smith (R-NH) on the Senate Judiciary Committee, where he played a central role in establishing the Federal Flight Deck Officers (FFDO) program to enhance aviation security in the aftermath of 9/11. He went on to spend seven years at The Heritage Foundation, where he served as a national spokesperson, regularly appearing on Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, and Bloomberg TV. He later returned to Capitol Hill as Counsel and Senior Communications Director to Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), playing a key role in the lead-up to the Senator’s presidential campaign.

Brian also spent time at a boutique public relations agency, advising clients on media strategy, issue advocacy, and coalition building. He remains active in public discourse as a contributor to The Hill, Townhall, and The Washington Examiner.

Originally from Massachusetts, Brian now lives in Maryland with his wife and three children.
